Hoots, Howls, and Hollers 12/15/2008

Calling all generous and caring shoppers….hurry, hurry, hurry to our on line store…..throw open the doors and take advantage of our very good prices, cool stuff and meaningful gifts!  It is so easy, so inexpensive (as in no shipping and handling fees) and so for a good cause.

And, you have a week left on our special to sponsor animals back into the wild while putting a smile on the face of a hospitalized child.  If you hurry you can get tickets to see the Phoenix Theatre’s production of the Quiltmaker’s Gift, see our educational ambassadors up close and in real time ands see two rehabilitated hawks go free.  All of this in one spot on Sunday, December 21st!  Don’t let this experience pass you by.

On a totally different but somehow related subject there is good news on volunteering. If you are currently a volunteer or have been thinking about it without taking action, you might be interested in the results regarding volunteering found by sociology professor, Kenneth Ferraro.  The study at Purdue University found that people who volunteer regularly have healthier cardiovascular systems, lower blood pressure, and display fewer signs of depression.  If you are interested in testing the results of this study you should take the opportunity to get involved with a non-profit organization of your choice to see how you could donate your time if donating dollars isn’t in the cards for you right now.  Remember the adage that time is money….so volunteering is another great way to give back to your community, your passion, your health!

Donate your time...       OR

Donate your financial help!

Either way, you'll be helping wildlife to again be wild!
